FUNCTIONAL MEDICINE FOR PARENTS
You love your life. You just want to feel like yourself in it again.
For the parent who takes care of everyone—except themselves.
You’re exhausted but not sleeping well. Your brain feels foggy, your energy crashes, and stress hits harder than it used to. Your gut seems off and generally you don't feel well, but your regular doctor says "your labs are normal."
Our adult functional medicine program takes a deeper look at what may be contributing to how you feel—and gives you an individualized plan to help your body function at its best.

A FAMILIAR KIND OF TIRED
You’re functioning. But you don’t feel like yourself.
From the outside, you probably look "fine". But you know how much effort it takes.

You get everyone where they need to go. You work. You parent. You remember the appointments, answer the emails, make the decisions, and somehow keep the whole thing moving....but taking care of yourself somehow has fallen to the wayside.
Maybe you wake up tired even when you technically slept. Your energy crashes in the afternoon. Your focus isn’t what it used to be. Your digestion has become unpredictable. Stress seems to hit your body harder than it used to, and the brain fog is real.
Maybe your hormones, sleep, mood, weight, or overall sense of wellbeing feel different. You know a lot about health—but somehow you’re not consistently taking care of yourself.
Maybe you’ve even had testing done and heard, “Everything looks normal.” And maybe nothing is terribly wrong. But you know one thing: this isn’t how you used to feel.
You’re pushing through. But pushing through and feeling well are not the same thing.
MORE THAN ONE EXPLANATION
When people say “I think my hormones are shot,” they’re usually describing something bigger.
Fatigue. Brain fog. Poor sleep. Feeling wired but tired. Cravings, gut changes, feeling less resilient to stress. It’s easy to lump all of that together and call it “hormones.” But your stress-response system interacts with sleep, blood sugar, nutrition, thyroid function, hormones, gut health, inflammation, movement, and life stress. So we don’t start with a generic protocol. We start with you—and then decide what actually deserves a closer look.

A DIFFERENT KIND OF POSSIBILITY
What if you could get your pink back?
Not become a completely different person. Just more like you.
The version of you who has energy left after the workday. Who can think clearly. Who sleeps and actually feels rested. Who can handle normal stress without feeling completely depleted by it.
Who has enough energy to move your body, see friends, go hiking, cook something good, play with the kids—or simply do something because you want to, not because somebody needs something from you.
“Getting your pink back” isn’t about becoming perfect. It’s about getting back some of the energy, clarity, resilience, and spark that make you feel like yourself.
And if “pink” isn’t your thing? The goal is the same: more energy and resilience for the life you actually want to live.
A CLEARER WAY FORWARD
From running on empty to having a plan.
01
Tell Me the Whole Story
We look at your energy, sleep, stress, digestion, nutrition, hormones, exercise, medications, symptoms, health history, previous labs, and what has changed.
02
Look Deeper
When appropriate, we use conventional and functional testing to investigate what may be contributing to how you feel—from nutritional and metabolic health to thyroid, hormones, gut health, and your stress-response system.
Depending on what we’re looking for, that may include gut testing (GI-MAP), Metabolomix, IntellxxDNA, hormone testing, or standard blood work.
03
Build Your Plan
Then we turn what we learn into an individualized plan built around your body and your actual life—and adjust it as we see how you respond.
You don’t need another extreme reset or impossible wellness plan. You need to understand what matters most for your body—and what to do next.
REAL EXPERIENCES.
You don’t have to take our word for it.

Seeing Dr. Ellie has made a world of difference in my day to day life. I had gut issues and she dived right in and came up with the best plan to heal me, not just put a band aid on it and see the next patient.

A THOUGHTFUL NEXT STEP
This may be a good fit for you if…
A clear plan, built around what we actually find.
You’ve spent years putting everyone else first and are finally ready to pay attention to your own health.
Your sleep, digestion, hormones, mood, weight, energy, or resilience have changed.
You’ve been told your basic testing looks okay, but you still know something feels off.
You know a lot about health, but you’re tired of trying to figure out what YOU actually need.
You’ve bought supplements, changed your diet, and saved the posts—and you’re ready for one coherent plan you can actually follow through on.
THE POSSIBILITY
Imagine feeling more like you again.
You don’t need to become a completely different person. You just want more energy, clarity, and resilience for the life you’ve worked so hard to build.
01
Wake up with more in the tank. The goal isn’t becoming a 5 a.m. productivity machine. It’s waking up feeling restored instead of beginning every day already depleted.
03
Understand what your body is telling you. Instead of treating fatigue, digestion, sleep, stress, hormones, and metabolism as unrelated problems, start seeing the bigger picture.
05
Build resilience. Support your body so ordinary life doesn’t feel like it takes everything you’ve got.
02
Think clearly again. More mental clarity and capacity for the thousand decisions your day requires.
04
Stop guessing. Understand what deserves your attention first—and why—rather than trying another diet, supplement, podcast recommendation, or wellness trend.
06
Have something left for yourself. Feeling better isn’t about squeezing more productivity out of yourself. It’s about having enough energy to actually enjoy your life.
WHAT WORKING TOGETHER INCLUDES
What’s inside your adult functional medicine program
A deeper, more connected look at your health—with an individualized plan and enough time to see how your body responds.
A 360° Look at Your Health
We bring your symptoms, history, nutrition, sleep, stress, digestion, hormones, lifestyle, previous testing, and health goals together instead of treating each concern like a separate problem.
Physician-Level Interpretation
You don’t get handed a computer-generated lab report and a shopping cart. Dr. Ellie reviews your results in the context of your history and symptoms and uses them to guide what happens next.
Targeted Testing With a Purpose
Testing isn’t about ordering everything possible. It’s about asking better questions, choosing testing that may help answer them, and interpreting those results in the context of you.
Six Months to Implement + Adjust
Your body isn’t a one-hour project. We have time to implement your plan, see how you respond, troubleshoot what isn’t working, and make adjustments along the way.
Your Individualized Health Plan
Your plan may include nutrition, movement, sleep, stress support, targeted supplements, and conventional or integrative treatments when appropriate.
The goal isn’t another protocol. It’s understanding what may be contributing to how you feel—and creating a clear path forward.
A CLEAR VIEW OF THE COMMITMENT
What’s included in your program
Six months of physician-led care, built around you.
A comprehensive initial evaluation, including a review of your previous labs and records.
Individualized testing recommendations, with physician interpretation of your results.
A personalized health plan built around your body and your actual life.
Follow-up visits over six months to see how you respond and adjust the plan.
Portal support between visits. Labs and supplements are purchased separately—you’ll know what we recommend, why, and the cost before moving forward.
ONE PATIENT’S PERSPECTIVE
“Now, feeling as good as I do, I can honestly say I would never want to go back to the way I was living before.”
What I appreciate most is that she truly listens. She takes the time to hear your concerns and does the testing needed to get to the root of what is going on instead of just guessing or treating symptoms.
GLENDA M.

YOU DON’T HAVE TO WAIT
Still thinking, “I’m not sick enough to need this”?
Maybe nothing is dramatically wrong. You’ve just gotten very good at functioning while depleted. You don’t have to wait until your health falls apart to start paying attention to what your body is telling you. Functioning and thriving aren’t the same thing.
GOOD QUESTIONS ARE WELCOME
Questions you may be wondering
A thoughtful approach starts with understanding what matters to you.
01
What if my regular labs are normal?
“Normal” results are useful information, but they don’t always explain why you don’t feel like yourself. We look at your symptoms, history, previous testing, labs your regular doctor doesn't do, and the bigger picture to decide whether anything else is worth exploring.
03
Is it worth the investment?
That’s a fair question, and it’s exactly what the Meet & Greet is for. Many adults have already spent money on supplements, tests, and programs that never added up to a plan. This program is built to give you one coordinated plan and the time to see how your body responds.
05
Can I do this virtually?
Visits can be in person in Asheville or virtual, depending on where you live. We’ll confirm what’s available for your state during your Meet & Greet. We are currently licensed in NC, SC, FL, and CA.
02
Is this just for moms?
No. The program is for any adult who wants a deeper look at their health—moms, dads, and anyone who has been running on empty for too long.
04
Are labs and supplements included?
Yes 3 special functional lab tests are included. Supplements are purchased separately at a discount based on your individual needs. You’ll know what we’re recommending, why we’re recommending it, and the cost before moving forward.
06
What happens after six months?
We’ll decide together based on how you’re doing. Some people continue month to month or join our maintenance program; others leave with a plan they feel confident following on their own.
ANOTHER PATIENT PERSPECTIVE
“Dr. Ellie has been wonderful getting towards the bottom of my daughter’s issues—so much so that I decided to see her myself.”
The care here is extraordinary! If I could advise anything it would be to get in with her because they do extensive testing to get to the root of problems, not just the quick standard labs normal physicians do.

A NOTE FROM DR. ELLIE
“Parents are very good at taking care of everyone except themselves.”
I’ve spent most of my career taking care of children. And one thing becomes obvious when you care for families long enough: you notice when your child’s sleep changes. You think about their nutrition, make the appointments, and research their symptoms.
Meanwhile, you’re exhausted, foggy, not sleeping well, living on caffeine, and telling yourself you’ll deal with it eventually.
I don’t want you to become a completely different person. I want to help you understand what your body may be asking for, so you have more energy, clarity, and resilience for the life you’ve worked so hard to build. Because your health matters too. If you’re ready to start paying attention to it, I’d love to meet you.
