Hi, I'm Dr. Ellie

Hi, I'm Dr. Ellie.

I'm a board-certified pediatrician who believes children deserve more than rushed appointments, one-size-fits-all medicine, and parents leaving the office with more questions than answers.

When I first became a pediatrician nearly 20 years ago, I loved caring for children. There is nothing more rewarding than watching a child grow from a newborn into a thriving young adult. But over time,

I found myself increasingly uncomfortable with the way medicine was being practiced.

Appointments became shorter. Families had less time to ask questions. Children with chronic symptoms were shuffled from specialist to specialist while parents were left trying to connect the dots on their own. Too often, the focus was on treating today's symptom instead of asking why it was happening in the first place.

I knew there had to be a better way.

Around the same time, my own health forced me to become a patient. After being diagnosed with celiac disease and later other autoimmune conditions, I experienced firsthand how overwhelming it can feel to search for answers, change your lifestyle, and navigate conflicting medical advice. I wasn't just caring for families going through difficult health journeys anymore—I was living one myself.

That experience changed the way I practice medicine forever.

I went on to complete advanced training in Integrative Medicine through the Andrew Weil Center for Integrative Medicine and Functional Medicine through the Kalish Institute, combining the best of conventional pediatrics with evidence-based nutrition, lifestyle medicine, and root-cause thinking.

I didn't leave conventional pediatrics because I stopped believing in medicine. I left because I believed children deserved better medicine.

That's why I created Middle Path Integrative Pediatrics.

I wanted to build the kind of practice I always wished existed—one where appointments are long enough to truly listen, where families have a doctor they know, trust, and can actually reach, and where every child is cared for as a whole person, not a collection of symptoms.

Here, we take the time to understand the big picture. We look for patterns over time, collaborate with specialists when needed, and help families understand when supportive care, natural therapies, conventional medicine, or a combination of both makes the most sense. My goal isn't to push one approach over another—it's to help you make thoughtful, informed decisions that are right for your child.

I believe in what I call slow medicine: building real relationships, thinking deeply about each child, and partnering with families over the years instead of rushing through fifteen-minute appointments.

Whether you're looking for a pediatrician who shares your values, searching for answers to ongoing health concerns, or simply want someone who will walk alongside your family through every stage of childhood, I'm honored you're here.

I look forward to getting to know your family—and helping your child thrive, one thoughtful decision at a time.
