Holistic pediatric primary care

You shouldn't have to choose between holistic care and a pediatrician you trust.

You want natural options when they make sense—but you also want an experienced pediatrician who knows when your child needs medicine, testing, or a specialist.

At Middle Path, you get both. We take the time to listen, talk through your options, and help you decide what actually makes sense for your child—without pressure, judgment, or leaving you to spend hours researching it all yourself.

You're not anti-medicine. You just want more options—and a pediatrician who knows when each one makes sense.

Maybe you're expecting your first baby and already know you want to do things a little differently. Or maybe you've been piecing together care on your own—trying the natural things at home first and going to the doctor when you really need one.

You don't want an antibiotic or prescription thrown at every problem. You want natural options when they make sense, and you want vaccines to be an actual conversation—not something you feel pressured into.

But you also don't want everything treated naturally just for the sake of being natural. If something really is wrong, you want someone who can recognize it, order the right testing, send you to the right specialist, or tell you, "Yes, this time we really do need the medicine."

Because what you're looking for isn't one extreme or the other. You want a pediatrician who knows your child, considers the whole picture, and has enough tools in the toolbox to help you choose what makes sense for your child in that moment.

If you've been looking for natural options, conventional care when it's needed, and a pediatrician with the judgment to know the difference—you're in the right place.

Have more than one tool in the toolbox.

Explore natural approaches when they make sense, conventional medicine when it's needed, and thoughtful guidance about when to use which.

Feel like your child is actually known.

When Google, social media, family, and even healthcare professionals are telling you different things, you have someone you trust to help you sort through the noise and decide what makes sense for your child.

Feel confident in the decisions you make.

You don't have to know everything or figure every health decision out on your own. You have experienced guidance beside you as your child grows.

Time to Ask the Questions Actually You Have

Ask about vaccines, antibiotics, sleep, feeding, development, supplements—or the thing you found online and aren't sure what to believe. We'll help you understand your options without feeling rushed, pressured, or judged.

What's Included in Your Membership

1. Natural When We Can. Medicine When We Need It

We believe in using the right tool for the right situation.  Sometimes that's homeopathy, supplements, nutrition, lifestyle changes or a natural approach. Sometimes medication is clearly the best choice. We consider the evidence, our clinical experience and your individual child to decide what makes sense together.

2. Thoughtful, pressure-free vaccine conversations

We'll talk through your questions and concerns so you can make informed decisions for your child—without judgment or pressure.

3. Antibiotics when they're truly needed—not automatically

We look at the whole picture and use natural and supportive options when appropriate, while still using medication when it's the best choice for your child.

4. Care that doesn't stop at symptoms.

Of course we'll take care of the sore throat, earache or stomach bug.  But we're also thinking about the bigger picture not just putting bandaids on things: root causes, growth, nutrition, development, emotional health, prevention and what can help your child stay healthy for years to come.

4. A Team That Actually Knows Your Child

Because we care for a smaller group of families, we get to know your child's history, personality, baseline and your family's priorities. That context matters when you're making healthcare decisions together.

5.  One membership. No surprise bills.

When your child is sick, the last thing you should be thinking about is how much the visit is going to cost. Your monthly membership includes sick visits, in-office flu, RSV and strep testing, behavioral health support, emails and phone calls, plus 24/7 after-hours care through Blueberry Pediatrics—all without a copay or another bill from us.

It’s all included in your membership.

Questions You May Be Wondering

“My child is healthy and hardly ever goes to the doctor. Is this really worth it?”

We hope your child doesn't need us very often! Membership isn't about paying for a certain number of visits. It's about having a pediatric team who knows your child and is there when you need us.

Physicals, sick visits, sports clearance, forms, injuries, medication questions, school concerns and those “Does this need to be seen?” moments are all part of the relationship—without a copay each time.

“I already have a pediatrician. What makes Middle Path different?”

You don't have to dislike your pediatrician to want a different kind of care.

Middle Path combines comprehensive pediatric primary care with a genuinely holistic approach. We consider nutrition, sleep, lifestyle, emotional wellbeing and natural treatments alongside conventional medicine—so you don't have to choose between a pediatrician you trust and the holistic care you want.

“I'm already paying for health insurance. Why would I pay for this too?”

Insurance is still important for specialists, emergencies, hospital care, prescriptions, imaging and outside testing.

Your membership pays for something different: the way your child's everyday pediatric care is delivered—with a smaller practice, natural and conventional options, greater access, comprehensive care and an ongoing relationship with a team who knows your child.

“Holistic sounds great…but does that mean you don't use antibiotics or medications?”

Not at all. Sometimes medication is exactly the right choice. Other times nutrition, lifestyle changes or natural approaches make more sense.

We don't choose something simply because it's “natural” or “conventional.” We choose what is safe, evidence-informed and appropriate for your child.

“Okay…but what does ‘holistic pediatrics’ actually mean?”

It means looking at the whole child—not just today's symptom.

Nutrition, sleep, movement, development, emotional wellbeing, environment and family life can all affect health. We consider those pieces alongside conventional pediatric medicine, with an eye toward both what your child needs today and their long-term health.

“What happens when my child wakes up sick and I need help today?”

Start with us. During practice hours, you'll have a pediatric team that knows your child, with same- or next-day sick visits when available and messaging for those “Does this need to be seen?” moments.

And when we're closed, your membership includes access to 24/7 pediatric support through Blueberry Pediatrics, so you're never left figuring out an illness alone in the middle of the night, over the weekend, or on a holiday.

“My child has more going on than routine pediatric care. Is this enough?”

It may be—or your child may benefit from going deeper.

For persistent or more complex concerns, you can combine our Holistic Pediatrics membership with our Functional Medicine program for comprehensive pediatric primary care plus a deeper functional evaluation.

We'll help you determine which level of care makes the most sense for your child.

What This Kind of Pediatric Relationship Can Feel Like

These families came to Middle Path looking for more than a place to take their child when something was wrong. They wanted a pediatric relationship built on trust, time, thoughtful guidance, and the freedom to ask questions.

Still Not Sure?

Maybe you're thinking, "This sounds like exactly what I've been looking for... but do we really need it?"

Maybe your child is healthy and you rarely go to the doctor. Maybe paying for pediatric care outside of insurance feels hard to justify. Or maybe you're wondering whether it would really feel that different from the pediatric care you already have.

Those are fair questions.

You don't need Middle Path because you expect something to go wrong. You choose this kind of care because you want a pediatrician you already know and trust when questions do come up—someone who knows your child, has time to talk through your options, and can help you navigate both natural and conventional care without leaving you to figure it all out yourself.

Only you can decide how much that kind of relationship matters to your child and family.

A Note From Dr. Ellie

I built Middle Path because I wanted families to have a different healthcare experience.

I wanted families to have the best of both worlds—a pediatrician who understands conventional medicine and has the training to offer a more holistic approach. A place where you can ask the questions you actually have, talk through your options, and make thoughtful decisions without feeling rushed or judged.

After nearly two decades of caring for children, I've seen how much it matters for parents to have someone they trust in their corner—someone who knows their child and can help quiet some of the noise when everyone seems to be telling them something different.

That's what I want for your family: to feel supported, informed, and confident in the decisions you make for your child.

If that sounds like the kind of pediatric relationship you've been looking for, I'd love to meet you.
